The loneliest magician made his whole life disappear
He banked on his religion and held everything dear
But, everyone he ever loved has vanished in the clear
He does his tricks, a simple mix, of anxiety and fear
The loneliness inside him eats away at his beating heart
For when you’re fooled by a fool you surely have to part
And when he sees a reminder of her he’ll unveil his sacred art
There’s a dead end ahead and he’s in bed praying for a new start
The loneliest magician made his audience disappear
He spoke his mind through dark times and tried to reappear
For when he’s gone what we knew all along will drown in the atmosphere
But his long lost love, his turtle dove, couldn’t be seen near
Oh, loneliest magician has a heart of fucking gold
He just missteps, but pirouettes yet always comes back cold
He’ll never find another, someone to have and hold
Oh, the loneliest magician will always have to fold
Yeah, the loneliest magician will always have to fold
